Banksy Artwork
Above is a stencil image by an artist named Banksy. This is a wonderful piece of art that appears to have a man throwing a bouquet of flowers. Upon closer inspection you see that this man seems to have an aggressive, and almost angry, look, not at all what I would expect to see while you toss something as beautiful as a bouquet of flowers. This shows me that this man is a gangster in a fight, but his weapon has been replaced with beautiful flowers. If those flowers were not there then I think that a deadly weapon, that is possibly explosive, would be there instead. If you look closely you see that this man is covering his face, to me this means that he has a criminal reputation and is trying to hide his identity so that he does not get caught. Now look at the colors of this image. The only part of the entire drawing that is not black and white is the flowers. This, to me, symbolizes that this gangster society is throwing away their last ounce of sanity, hope, and peace. I love this picture and the powerful symbolism behind it. This picture has inspired me to look at more of Banksy’s work.

Stop motion madness

This video entitled Sorry I'm late is an amazing video utilizing the stop motion style of video to a level that I have never seen before. All of the pictures were taken so perfectly that, at times, it was hard to believe that it was a stop motion. Although that story line is very basic, a kid who misses the buss and has an adventure trying to get to school on time, it portrays his adventure through all types of transportation, from horseback riding to teleportation. Something else that I thought was funny was the way that the creators utilized a hardwood floor as a background and pillows as the ground.  This video appeared to be very hard to make while I was watching it, but at the end when they showed how they made the video I saw that much of the creation was all in the editing and that showed me that it would be possible to create a stop motion like this one, but probably on a smaller scale. Overall I really enjoyed this video.

Fractal

I choose this image because I have always been interested in fractals and this one looked amazing to me. I love how this fractal shows an average thing, a snow flake, in an incredibly complex way. The colors on this fractal are perfect in my eyes; they show you that it really is a snow flake. This fractal is interesting me because if you look closely everything is the same, they are all triangles, and some are just larger than others. This is one of my all-time favorite fractals.

Yonder from Emilia on Vimeo.

This was the second video that I got to see in my english class.
This video to me was showing how even though we may look to be the biggest and the best world that we are not the only world. There is another world outside the other world that is shown after the first world, after moving through the forrest and seeing all of evil creatures. During the trasnitions between worlds there was a bright light was moving through through the void. Many dark creatures were trying to eat it and onee succeded, but when it was eaten it didn't seem to die. Infact  it became an entirly new world inside the beast's belly. This to me symbolized the struggle of life and all of the hard ships that you will face throughout your life and even when all seems hopeless good can still come out of it. All other details were undetectable because when I watched it the video quality was horrible.
